A 77-year-old man with dementia has been missing since Thursday afternoon after disappearing from Førde Hospital.

Despite the cold and wet conditions, search efforts continue with hope of finding him alive.

The man, last seen wearing a dark t-shirt and pants, was captured on surveillance footage leaving the hospital.

Authorities have deployed over a hundred personnel, including the Red Cross, Civil Defense, and Home Guard, to search the varied terrain around Førde.

Helicopters, drones, and thermal cameras are being used in the search.

Police urge locals to check outbuildings and report any sightings to assist in the search.

The situation is critical due to the dropping temperatures at night, and time is of the essence.
