SAS Expands Norwegian Routes to Copenhagen

Published: 2024-09-18

SAS is set to expand its flight routes in Norway, bringing new opportunities for travelers and businesses alike.

Starting May 19, 2025, a new direct route from Bodø to Copenhagen will be available twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, throughout the summer season.

This development is celebrated by Halvor Waldemarsen, Avinor's business development manager for Bodø Airport, as a fantastic opportunity.

Additionally, Kristiansand Airport Kjevik will see the return of its direct route to Copenhagen, now as a year-round service beginning March 30, 2025. This route, which has historical significance dating back to before World War II, is crucial for the local economy, particularly for industries like battery and offshore wind energy.

The business community in Southern Norway, represented by figures like Morten Haakstad of Arendal Næringsforening, has been in close dialogue with SAS to emphasize the region's importance.

These new routes highlight SAS's commitment to enhancing connectivity between Norway and Denmark.
