Marius Borg Høiby, son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, has been charged with assault and vandalism following an incident in a Frogner apartment in Oslo on August 4th.
The police were alerted by a friend of the victim, a woman who was reportedly in a relationship with Høiby.
He allegedly assaulted her and caused damage to her apartment.
Høiby was arrested later that day near his residence at Skaugum, after attending a party.
He has not yet provided a statement to the police.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit has confirmed that she has spoken with the victim, although details of the conversation remain private.
The case has drawn significant public attention due to Høiby's royal connections, and the investigation is ongoing.
