Marius Borg Høiby, son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit, is under investigation for multiple sexual offenses, including incidents that allegedly occurred at the royal estate, Skaugum.
Høiby, who has been released from custody, is not formally charged but is suspected of another sexual offense involving a woman who was initially a witness in a related case.
The police suspect that Høiby assaulted the woman while she was asleep, a claim he denies.
Høiby is also facing charges for other offenses, including domestic violence against former partners and threats against a man.
Despite the serious allegations, Høiby maintains his innocence, and his defense argues that evidence, including video footage, does not support the charges.
Meanwhile, Høiby is undergoing treatment for substance abuse, which he has publicly acknowledged as a long-standing issue.
