The case of Peder Angel Langen Lundquist, a 19-year-old who tragically took his own life in February 2024, has been reopened by police following an order from the state prosecutor.
Peder’s parents had long argued that severe bullying, including messages urging him to commit suicide, contributed to his death.
Although police initially closed the case citing insufficient evidence, the prosecutor has now directed further investigation.
Politiadvokat Anna Vagstad Brunstad described the messages Peder received as "appalling" but noted challenges in retrieving digital evidence.
The family has also criticized delays in the investigation and alleged misconduct by local authorities.
This development comes as a step towards justice for Peder and accountability for those involved.
