Norway's Weather Split: Sun in North, Rain in South

Published: 2024-08-02

As the weekend approaches, Norway is experiencing a split in weather conditions.

While southern regions are bracing for rain and cooler temperatures, northern areas are basking in summer sunshine with temperatures soaring up to 30 degrees Celsius in places like Kirkenes.

Meteorologists predict that the rain in the south, caused by a low-pressure system from Iceland, will bring temperatures down to around 15 degrees.

However, there is hope for sunnier days ahead, with forecasts suggesting that southern Norway may enjoy clearer skies and warmer temperatures next week, reaching up to 25 degrees.

Meanwhile, northern Norway is expected to maintain its warm weather, with the possibility of high summer days continuing into next week.

Overall, while the south prepares for a wet weekend, the north continues to relish in summer warmth.
