Minor Earthquake Shakes Molde Area

On Monday evening, a minor earthquake was recorded approximately 20 kilometers southwest of Molde, Norway, around 30 kilometers from Åndalsnes.

The quake, which occurred at 7:15 PM, had a magnitude of 2.2, according to Norsar.

Residents reported feeling the tremor, describing it as a slight vibration in their homes, accompanied by a low rumbling sound.

Randi Røsvik Sørli, a local resident, noted that the shaking lasted about ten seconds, causing some glass to rattle but no significant damage.

Norsar confirmed that while the earthquake was noticeable, it was unlikely to have caused any injuries or serious issues in the area.

This event adds to the region's history of minor seismic activity, with locals familiar with the sensations of such natural phenomena.
