Over the weekend, Sørumsand Videregående School in Akershus experienced a significant burglary, resulting in the theft of 120 laptops and 10-15 mobile phones.

The break-in was discovered on Monday morning, with the perpetrators having broken into the IT department by smashing doors and possibly entering through a window.

Despite the school's alarm system, it did not trigger during the incident.

The stolen items were primarily used loaner devices, and the theft has led to substantial costs for the school, which now needs to replace the equipment and repair damaged property.

Fortunately, the incident coincides with the school's autumn break, minimizing immediate disruption to students' learning.

Police have secured some evidence from the scene and are appealing for public assistance in identifying the culprits.

No suspects have been named yet, and the investigation is ongoing.
