A major human trafficking network has been uncovered in Norway, involving at least 150 women who were forced into prostitution across 13 cities.

The operation, led by a Norwegian-Ukrainian couple, generated over 50 million kroner, with the couple allegedly receiving half of the profits.

The network was exposed following a police tip-off about Eastern European women being smuggled into Norway through secret forest routes.

Eight individuals are now on trial, facing charges of pimping, money laundering, and threats.

The trial, set to last six weeks, highlights the extensive and professional nature of the criminal operation, which included organized transport, accommodation, and advertisement of sexual services.
