Hamburg's central train station was temporarily closed following concerns over two suspected cases of the deadly Marburg virus on a train.
The alarm was raised when a medical student and his partner, recently returned from Rwanda, exhibited flu-like symptoms.
Both were transported to Eppendorf University Hospital for further testing.
Fortunately, tests confirmed they were not infected with the virus, though one remains in isolation due to the incubation period.
The Marburg virus, similar to Ebola, has caused several deaths in Rwanda, prompting international vigilance.
Despite the scare, health authorities assure that the risk of transmission in Europe remains low.
