In a dramatic turn of events in Klæbu, Norway, two masked individuals attempted to steal alcohol from a grocery store, one of them brandishing a chainsaw.

The incident, which occurred early Friday morning, prompted a swift police response.

Shortly after the attempted theft, the suspects tried to steal a car from a nearby residence, resulting in a violent confrontation with the car owner, who managed to prevent the theft.

Police tracked the suspects' vehicle and deployed a spike strip, successfully puncturing the car's tires and forcing it off the road.

The suspects, a man and a woman in their 30s, were apprehended and are now in custody.

The police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
