Bodø 2024, a cultural initiative with a budget of 300 million kroner, aimed to create an unforgettable cultural year for Nordland.
However, recent surveys reveal mixed reactions, with only 25% of respondents expressing satisfaction, while 41% remain indifferent and 21% are dissatisfied.
Critics argue that the initiative, intended to boost both culture and tourism, has not met expectations, with many residents outside Bodø unaware of its events.
Despite this, Director André Walland Larsen remains optimistic, suggesting that the initiative's impact might be more visible within Bodø itself.
A national TV debate is set to discuss these issues, focusing on the cultural cuts and the broader impact of Bodø 2024.
