A dramatic rescue operation unfolded in Kragerø after a boat collided with a pier on Tåtøy.
The incident, which occurred late Wednesday night, prompted a large-scale search for potential missing persons, involving helicopters, divers, and multiple emergency services.
Initially, the boat operator, who appeared intoxicated, could not recall if others were aboard, leading to the extensive search.
However, after further questioning, it was confirmed that the operator was alone, and no one else was missing.
The search was subsequently called off.
The boat operator, who sustained minor injuries, was taken to a hospital in Skien.
Authorities have taken a blood sample and are pursuing charges for operating the boat under the influence.
